“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.“ -Denis Waitley
Arrival Time. The Blue Buddha is a street-level private practice studio, home to a group of talented Healing Arts Practitioners each of whom are independent business owners. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment. Earlier arrivals will find the gate locked. Your emailed appointment confirmation will also remind you. It is essential that you arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time on your first visit to see a Practitioner to fill out your initial intake form. 15-minutes after your appointment start time the gate will be locked and you are considered a no-show. The moral of this story? Be on time or call the studio (415) 735.8028 and leave a message that you are running a few minutes behind. It’s the nice thing to do :)
Cancellation Policy. We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for our practitioners’ time, we have adopted the following policies:
• 24-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
• If you are unable to give us 24-hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
• If you purchased a voucher from Bloomspot or another daily deal site and do not provide 24-hour advance notice for a cancellation, you forfeit the voucher.
No-shows. Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will be charged full price for their missed appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.
Arriving Late. Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session will be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. In other words, sessions starting late will still end at their scheduled time. Depending upon how late you arrive, your practitioner will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full cost of the session.
Out of respect and consideration to your practitioner and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time. There is an affordable parking garage located directly across from the studio.
Payments. Each practitioner at The Blue Buddha is an independent business owner in our shared space. Please be aware that the payments accepted may differ. Payment options are listed with each Resident Practitioner’s bio on the Practitioner page. We are unable to process payments over the phone or through our website.
Cell Phones. Give yourself permission to disconnect from the world and reconnect to your self. That’s what The Blue Buddha is all about. For your own relaxation and out of respect to our other clients please silence your phone. We ask that you refrain from any phone conversations while spending time with us. The Blue Buddha is an intimate space and we also kindly ask that you speak quietly as treatments are taking place.
Keep It Fresh! Inspired by the tradition of Thailand, in honor of our space and because city sidewalks aren’t so fresh The Blue Buddha is happy to be a shoe free zone. Clean socks are available upon request if you are not wearing socks and prefer to not be barefoot.
Valuables. We are not responsible for any items personal items in the space. We recommend that all valuables come into the treatment room with you including bags, purses, etc.
Acupuncture & Nutritional Therapy. Please be sure to visit Carla Hernandez and Eric Kerr’s personal business websites to understand their policies relating to nutritional therapy and acupuncture treatments. You will find these on the Practitioners page.
